About the event
On January 21, 2026, the Hope Border Institute and the Center for Migration Studies of New York launched the "Catholic Immigrant Prophetic Action Project" (Catholic IMMpact).
Through Catholic IMMpact, HOPE and CMS are partnering to assist the Catholic Church in the United States in organizing a robust response with migrants and refugees in the country who are living in fear of deportation. Through research, communications and organizing support, the initiative directly supports dioceses and archdioceses to strengthen the Catholic Church's response to mass deportations.
